The Southern Arts Federation maintains an edifying podcast series for fans of Southern culture. In 2007, Hannah Leatherbury talked to independent filmmaker Aaron Greer talk about his work, his thoughts on bringing independent films to new audiences, and his philosophy as a professor. Formerly a professor in the Department of Telecommunication and Film at the University of Alabama, Aaron now teaches at Loyola. He has produced and directed documentary, narrative and experimental films, including Not Color Blind, Just Near-Sighted, Getting Grown and Flying Away. His films have screened at over a dozen juried film festivals, including the Tribeca, American Black and Chicago International Children's Film Festivals. You can download the interview below.
